UMFS Rebrands as Shineforth
A Richmond nonprofit, formerly known as United Methodist Family Services (UMFS), has undergone a rebranding and is now called Shineforth.
“We really believe there’s an inner light in every child, and it’s just waiting to come out, and sometimes it’s been dimmed,” said Shineforth President and CEO Nancy Toscano.
Shineforth, which celebrates its 125th anniversary, provides services such as foster care, residential treatment, adoption services, and special education to children. The organization is headquartered at its 33-acre campus and has seven other locations throughout the state.
