Melbourne's Hellenes Honour the Immortal "OXI"
The Australian Greek Ex-Servicemen's Association held an event at the Church of "Axion Esti" in Northcote to commemorate the national anniversary of October 28th.
A memorial service was held, and wreaths were laid in memory of the Greek heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of the homeland.
The day’s solemn address was delivered by the President of the Association, Nikolaos Makridis, who referred to the timeless message of “OXI” and the importance of the unity of Hellenism.
The event was marked with respect and emotion, honouring the immortal "OXI".
