Pork Jerky Recall Due to Metal Contamination Risk
Over 2.2 million pounds of Korean barbecue pork jerky is being recalled nationwide due to possible metal contamination.
The recall was initiated after consumers reported finding pieces of wiry metal in the product, according to federal food safety officials.
- The recalled product is sold under the "GOLDEN ISLAND fire-grilled PORK JERKY Korean BARBECUE recipe" label.
- The jerky was shipped to Costco and Sam’s Club stores nationwide.
The Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service warned that the ready-to-eat product may contain pieces of wiry metal.
