Lakers' Jaxson Hayes Sits Out Against Timberwolves
The reserve center was ruled out for Friday's playoff rematch with Minnesota due to left knee soreness.
Jaxson Hayes, who played 14 minutes in the season-opening loss to Golden State on Tuesday, was downgraded to unavailable after being listed as questionable Friday morning, according to Coach JJ Redick.
With Maxi Kleber sidelined for at least the next couple of weeks due to a strained oblique, Hayes was the primary backup big man behind starting center Deandre Ayton. In Tuesday's game, Hayes recorded four points and six rebounds in 14 minutes.
The Lakers made two-way center Christian Koloko available against the Timberwolves to compensate for the loss of depth in their big man roster.
