Boil Water Notices in Breckenridge
The City of Breckenridge and the Stephens Regional Special Utility District (SRSUD) rural water have issued boil water notices for two local areas.
A water line repair on October 23 prompted the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to require the City of Breckenridge's public water system to notify customers in the southwest corner of the city to boil their water before consumption.
- Areas affected include:
- Elliott at Sunset, east to Mistletoe
- South and then back west and north on S. Post Oak Road
- Chaparral Neighborhood
- Meadowgreen Apartments
- Immediate area to the west of S. Post Oak Road
Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions.
