The Scottish Government's £20m rescue package has enabled the long-delayed Edinburgh concert hall project to move forward.
The project, which was first granted planning permission over six years ago, had been stalled due to rising costs. Initially estimated at £45m by architects Chipperfield and Reiach & Hall, the cost had ballooned, leading to Sir Robert McAlpine's exit from the project last spring.
The deal was sealed after the Scottish Government stepped in with a £20m rescue package for the project.
