Russia has showcased its stationary remote-controlled ZU-23-2 air defense system, sparking questions about potential upgrades to this latest modification.
At the Kapustin Yar training ground, a demonstration of various weapons and military equipment was held for Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. The display included stationary automated anti-aircraft systems based on the ZU-23-2 and paired machine guns.

Medvedev noted that the previous demonstration in April raised several questions that needed to be resolved. Despite the unveiling, Western systems still outshine Russia's robotic ZU-23-2 air defense system.
