Indy Fuel Gears Up for Military Appreciation Night

The Indy Fuel hockey team is set to play against the Toledo Walleye at the Fishers Event Center on Military Appreciation Night, following a sellout opener on Friday night.

The game will start at 7 p.m. and is part of the team's effort to show appreciation for the military. The Fuel's season opener on Friday night was a sellout of the 7,500-seat facility, with the Fort Wayne Komets winning 4-0.

Assistant Coach Stephon Thorne expressed his appreciation for the fan support and the welcoming community in Indiana.

Thorne shared the team's game day routine, which includes preparing video materials, holding pre-game meetings, and optional morning skates for players. He also highlighted his positive experiences of moving to Indiana from Canada, citing the Hoosier hospitality and community support.

The Indy Fuel are part of the ECHL, formerly the East Coast Hockey League.
