South Korea's Job Market Sees Significant Growth

South Korea added 312,000 jobs in September, marking the largest on-year growth in 19 months, according to data from the Ministry of Data and Statistics.

The number of employed people stood at 29.15 million, up from the previous year. This growth highlights a continued upward trend in employment, following a brief contraction in December when the country saw a net loss of 52,000 positions.

However, employment in the manufacturing and construction sectors continued to decline, signaling persistent weakness in key industries.

Employment has been gradually recovering this year.
