Sunotec, a European provider of large-scale solar solutions, has secured financing for seven landmark renewable energy initiatives in Bulgaria.
The portfolio, finalized in September 2025, includes one co-located solar PV and battery energy storage system and six standalone BESS projects, representing 115MWp of solar capacity and 763MWh of battery storage.
“These projects mark a major milestone in our evolution not only as a turnkey solutions provider, but also as a long-term investor in renewable energy infrastructure,” said Viktor Stefanov, head of IPP at Sunotec.
The projects are owned either directly by Sunotec or via Solaris Holding, a 50/50 joint venture between Sunotec and the principal shareholders of Eurohold Bulgaria.
Sunotec aims to enhance grid stability and energy storage capacity with these key BESS projects.
