A 47-year-old single malt whisky from Old Pulteney has sold for £62,500 at a charity auction, exceeding its estimated value of £26,000 - £40,000.
The whisky, named Polaris, was sold to raise funds for The Distillers' Charity. With a price of around £1000 per glass, it is a significant contribution to the charity.
