Elite Helicopter Unit Conducts Flights Near Venezuela
A Special Operations aviation unit has flown less than 100 miles from Venezuela, as the Trump administration increases pressure on the country's regime.
The helicopters conducted training exercises, which could lead to expanded operations against the Venezuelan regime, according to The Washington Post.
- MH-6 Little Bird attack helicopters and MH-60 Black Hawks were spotted in the area.
- The aircraft are likely operated by the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.
The unit usually flies missions for commandos like Navy SEALs, Green Berets and Delta force, said mark Cancian, a senior adviser with the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
