Parolee Seeks Lighter Sentence for Reckless Driving
A 32-year-old man from Shellharbour, Trent Arndell, was jailed for his "extraordinarily dangerous driving" after being caught speeding at 160km/h through Primbee.
According to court documents, on September 19, Arndell was seen by police driving recklessly through Windang, Primbee, and Warrawong, exceeding the signposted speed limits.
- He overtook multiple vehicles traveling at or near the 60km/h limit on Windang Road.
- As the speed limit changed to 80km/h, he merged across two lanes, cutting off other motorists at an estimated speed of 90 to 100km/h.
- He then changed into the middle lane and tailgated another vehicle.
