A pre-pack deal with Boparan Private Office has secured 433 jobs at Roberts Bakery across two sites.
The investment, made for an undisclosed fee, sees the creation of a new company, Roberts Bakery 1887 Ltd, a reference to the year the Cheshire-based business was founded.
The deal comes after Frank Roberts & Son Ltd, a fourth-generation family business, filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators just over a week ago.
The private investment firm owned by entrepreneur Ranjit Singh Boparan has helped the bakery manufacturer safeguard jobs.
The company produces bread under the Roberts Bakery brand, as well as speciality bread and sweet treats for supermarkets, coffee shops, and more.
