Robert Irwin, a 21-year-old wildlife conservationist, broke down after his "Dancing with the Stars" performance, which was a dedication to his mom, Terri Irwin.
Backstage, Robert explained that he dedicated his dance to all mothers and anyone experiencing grief after loss.
"It was really hard to express that and really hard to actually get through a dance while internally you’re processing and getting all of these emotions out there,"
Robert's dance was an emotional contemporary piece that honored his late father, Steve Irwin, and ended with a tear-jerking transition where Terri joined her son on stage, leaving the audience and judges in tears.
The judges, including Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie Ann Inaba, were visibly moved by the performance.
