Stellantis will invest $13 billion over the next four years to increase its domestic manufacturing footprint and create more than 5,000 jobs.
The investment will go to four plants in Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan to manufacture five vehicles and a new four-cylinder engine.
“Accelerating growth in the U.S. has been a top priority since my first day,”
said CEO Antonio Filosa. The next-generation Dodge Durango will be assembled in Detroit, and the Jeep Grand Wagoneers will be manufactured in Warren, Michigan.
