The Yellowknife Salvation Army had a big weekend, providing Thanksgiving dinner to those in need.
Approximately 250 people attended a traditional turkey meal on Monday, served restaurant-style.
Everybody seemed to appreciate the service and the food.
Said Tony Brushett, executive director of the Yellowknife Salvation Army. The organization also sold 600 hampers on Saturday, raising close to $20,000 for groceries to support the food bank.
The executive director described the weekend as
busy, but very successful.
