Rental Increase Concerns in Hunter Region
The Hunter region has experienced the third highest annual rental increase in the state, with the average rent jumping 8.1 per cent in the past 12 months to over $600 a week, according to SQM Research.

Homelessness NSW CEO Dominique Rowestating that rents soared in the regions during the COVID-19 pandemic and are taking off once more.

- The Murray region had a 10 per cent increase
- Seven of the top 10 areas for rent increases were outside Sydney
