Longtime Director of Family Christian Development Center Retires
Mark Mikel, the former executive director of the Family Christian Development Center, has retired after serving since 2014.
The Center, a faith-based non-profit organization in Nappanee, provides various services to the community, including:
- Food pantry
- Rental utilities assistance
- Clothing closet
- Medication assistance
- Baby immunizations for Nappanee, Wakarusa, and Wa-Nee Community Schools
We are the food pantry, rental utilities assistance, clothing closet, medication assistance, and we do baby immunizations for Nappanee, Wakarusa and Wa-Nee Community Schools.
The Center was founded in 1996 by JoAnne and Larry Andrews, who were inspired by their faith to open a food pantry.
And it’s always been based around the belief that sharing Christ’s love is what helps people not just meet their immediate needs but see some change in their lives.
Under Mikel's leadership, the organization has made significant improvements, including doubling its budget since 2014.
