The Planned Parenthood clinic in Durango, which closed last year due to a provider shortage, is set to reopen on Monday.
The clinic will operate two days a week, on Mondays and Tuesdays. According to Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains CEO Adrienne Mansanares, the local community played a vital role in reopening the clinic.
Our supporters in Durango are outstanding. We've had donors that have jumped in to make sure that we were able to continue paying for the various expenses that are associated with the health center when it's closed.
The clinic was initially forced to close in September 2024 due to a shortage of providers. The organization is now ready to reopen with a fully staffed and equipped health center.
