Pittsburgh International Airport officially cut the ribbon on its new terminal on October 11, 2025, marking a significant transition in the airport’s identity and operations.
Over 300 guests attended the ceremony, followed by a Community Open House with more than 10,000 registered visitors.
Construction began in 2021, with a total cost of US$1.7 billion, financed primarily by the airport’s airline partners, using no taxpayer dollars.
This new terminal is central to PIT’s shift from being a hub to an origin & destination (O&D) airport.
