Texas Man Charged with Assault
A Texas man, Jesus Leyva Jr., 19, of Perryton, faces charges after an assault left a man with serious injuries early Sunday morning.
Leyva Jr. is charged in Buffalo County Court with first-degree assault. The incident occurred at the Big Apple Fun Center, 500 W. Fourth St., just before 1 a.m. Sunday.
According to an arrest affidavit, Kearney Police found a large amount of blood on the sidewalk, but did not initially locate the victim. The victim was later found at New Victorian Inn and Suites, 903 Second Ave.
Jesus Leyva Jr. is charged with first-degree assault.
