Attempted Kidnapping at Springfield's Kiwanis Park
Springfield Park District Police responded to an attempted kidnapping of a 2-year-old boy at Kiwanis Park.
Authorities identified Rodly Pierre, 34, of Springfield, as the suspect and arrested him on charges of attempted kidnapping, aggravated battery, unlawful restraint, and disorderly conduct.
Pierre was apprehended at the scene and taken to Sangamon County Jail, with assistance from the Springfield Police Department in the investigation.
