Washburn’s Kibet named MIAA Athlete of the Week
Washburn’s Donald Kibet has been named the MIAA Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
Kibet led the Ichabods to a second-place team finish with his second-place individual finish at the DBU Old Glory Gallop, completing the 8K course in 23:46.16 and outrunning 403 other runners.
According to Washburn Athletics, his time was the second-fastest time in program history on an 8K course, trailing only his time at the MIAA Championships in 2024.
Kibet and the Ichabods will return to action on Oct. 25 at the MIAA Championships in Pittsburg, Kan.
