Obituary: Carol Carnes Dwyer
Carol Carnes Dwyer of Hingham, MA, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
She was born to Margaret (Osborn) and E. Carnes, and grew up in Hingham Centre, attending the Centre School.
Carol met her husband of 67 years in their freshman year at Archbishop Williams High School, where they were members of the first graduating class of 1953.
She earned her bachelor's degree at The College of New Rochelle in NY and worked as a Social Worker in NYC until starting her family.
After taking classes while her children were young, she went back to work, eventually earning a master's degree and working for the Hingham Public Schools for over 25 years, first in Special Education and then as a Guidance Counselor.
She met her husband of 67 years in their freshman year at Archbishop Williams High School.
