Subscribers are experiencing delays of up to two months in receiving their newspapers due to Postal Service delays.
Jill Friesz, owner of GS Publishing, which operates seven weekly newspapers in North Dakota, has faced frustrated subscribers, including one who visited her office in late September.
“He was telling me he was tired of my excuses and that he may as well just quit subscribing to the paper,”
Friesz said, highlighting the emotional impact of the delays on subscribers, with many calling to express their frustration.
“I have so many frustrated people that call and just say, ‘Well, there’s no point in me getting the newspaper because it never gets delivered to me,’”
Friesz noted, underscoring the challenges faced by the already struggling newspaper industry.
