Federal environmental scientists have been "left largely defenseless" with their jobs abruptly terminated and research ignored, according to nonpartisan groups Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER) and the Environmental Protection Network (EPN).

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin announced the "Powering the Great American Comeback" Initiative, aiming to protect human health and the environment while boosting the economy.
