Schumacher's IndyCar test just proved that one F1 team missed a trick by not signing him for 2026

Mick Schumacher's IndyCar Test

Mick Schumacher has been trying to find his way back to the Formula 1 grid since losing his seat with Haas in 2022.

After being dropped by Haas, Schumacher was picked up by Toto Wolff as a reserve driver for Mercedes and McLaren in 2023.

He left them at the end of 2024 and continued racing in the World Endurance Championship for Alpine.

Single-seaters are where Schumacher was raised, and although he’s talented in other disciplines, he wants to make use of his skills before it’s too late.

At 26 years old, Schumacher still has plenty to give, but finding his way back to Formula 1 won't be easy.

IndyCar may be the proving ground for Schumacher after Alpine closed the door on a potential opening in 2026.
