The Social Democrats, the largest party in Sweden's parliament, have declared their support for the government's proposal to rent prison cells in Estonia to alleviate prison overcrowding.
The opposition party stated that the situation has become urgent, and with their support, there is now enough backing in parliament to ratify the agreement signed in June between Sweden and Estonia.
This agreement provides Sweden with 400 cells for up to 600 inmates.
