An exhibition titled "Beyond Baltimore Street: Living Lumbee Legacies" opens at Eastpoint Mall, spotlighting the legacy of the Lumbee people, a Native American tribe connected to the land now called Maryland.
The exhibition, located in the mall's food court, starts on October 13, Indigenous Peoples Day, and will remain on view through November.
"The opening of this impressive and highly-inspirational exhibit is timed with a holiday that honors the history, culture, and resilience of Indigenous peoples in the United States, which is significant,"
said John Hess, regional director of property management at Eastpoint Mall.
A reception is planned for October.
