GCC Ministerial Meeting Reviews Progress of Joint Cooperation in Manama

Manama, November 30 (KUNA) — Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah Al-Yahya, chaired the 166th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Council held in Manama, Bahrain. The meeting examined the progress of joint Gulf action and preparations for the upcoming 45th session of the GCC Supreme Council, scheduled for December.

During the meeting, ministers reviewed developments in regional and international arenas and discussed ways to enhance coordination and cooperation among member states to strengthen collective security and economic stability.

The discussion covered progress in implementing resolutions from previous GCC summits and addressed strategies to deepen economic integration, technological collaboration, and environmental sustainability. The foreign ministers also touched on regional issues, including efforts to support stability in the Middle East and cooperation with allied countries and organizations.

Abdullah Al-Yahya reaffirmed Kuwait’s continued support for strengthening GCC unity and solidarity, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and collective measures to safeguard regional interests.

“The Gulf Cooperation Council remains a cornerstone for regional stability, and Kuwait is fully committed to advancing its goals,” Al-Yahya stated.

The session concluded with an agreement to accelerate collaborative projects and initiatives outlined in the GCC’s strategic vision while reaffirming the bloc’s commitment to shared prosperity and security.
