The Department of Correctional Services confirmed that security measures at the Kgosi Mampuru II Correctional Centre have been significantly strengthened ahead of Cat Matlala’s testimony before the parliamentary ad hoc committee.
Officials explained that the step was taken to ensure smooth proceedings and the safety of all individuals involved. Matlala, who is expected to provide critical evidence about internal operations and management issues within the facility, has drawn considerable public and political attention.
