Emirates has suspended its Tel Aviv flights indefinitely and cancelled plans for a 2026 relaunch, following a continued drop in demand. Emirates, one of the flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates and a major international carrier, has cancelled all its scheduled flights from Dubai to Tel Aviv in Israel indefinitely. However, flydubai, an Emirati government-owned airline based in Dubai, continues to operate a steady Dubai-Tel Aviv flight schedule.
In 2023, several airlines, including Emirates, American Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Korean Air, and Cathay Pacific, began to cancel or temporarily suspend flights to Tel Aviv. It is noteworthy that Emirates had initially planned to restore the flight route from Dubai to Tel Aviv in 2026 using a Boeing 777-200LR with a two-class layout. However, with a sustained decrease in the demand for flights to Israel, the airline has removed all planned flights from its roster.
flydubai uses a mix of several aircraft, including Boeing 737-800, 737 MAX 8, and 737 MAX 9 for the route. Starting April 2026, operations are set to shift to only the 737-800 and 737 MAX 8. flydubai currently operates up to 10 flights a day, the highest frequency since the route launched. Etihad Airways is one of the other flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates.
Notes: Emirates canceled all Dubai–Tel Aviv flights indefinitely; flydubai continues Dubai–Tel Aviv operations with select aircraft; planned 2026 relaunch via Boeing 777-200LR was scrapped due to demand decline.
Author summary: Emirates halted all Dubai–Tel Aviv services amid fading demand, while flydubai maintains a robust schedule; a 2026 relaunch with a 777-200LR was scrapped, and no new expansion plans were announced.
