The newest delay for GTA 6 has been described as "by far the worst and most painful one" after Rockstar Games confirmed the release is postponed until 19 November 2026. Fans continue to await new trailers, screenshots, and artwork following a previous delay announced in May.
Despite these setbacks, GTA 6 remains the most eagerly anticipated video game in history, fueling ongoing excitement with fresh leaks, rumors, and speculation.
Over 30 Rockstar Games employees were recently dismissed, leading to accusations from the Independent Workers Union of Great Britain (IWGB) of "union busting." The union claims staff were fired due to their trade union activities.
Rockstar denies these claims, attributing the dismissals to violations of company policy. A Rockstar spokesperson told Bloomberg:
"We took action against a small number of individuals who were found to be distributing and discussing confidential information in a public forum, a violation of our company policies."
Chris Bratt, co-founder of People Make Games, attended a protest in Edinburgh where several fired employees shared their emotional experiences and feelings after being let go by Rockstar Games.
GTA 6's extended delay heightens anticipation while Rockstar faces controversy over employee dismissals linked to alleged leaks and union activities.
