On Monday, 10 November 2025, Jetstar announced its largest expansion from Melbourne Avalon Airport. The airline will launch new international flights to Bali, resume flights to Adelaide, and increase services to Brisbane.
This expansion adds more than 330,000 affordable seats annually at Melbourne's secondary airport, enhancing travel options for locals and boosting tourism to support Victoria's economy.
Jetstar’s new service to Bali marks its first international route from Melbourne Avalon, a significant milestone for the airline's largest base at the airport.
"Starting on 23 March 2026, Jetstar will operate five return flights a week between Melbourne Avalon and Bali (Denpasar), aboard Jetstar's modern Airbus A321LR aircraft."
The route offers over 120,000 additional seats annually and a direct flight time just over six hours. It provides easy access for passengers from Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast, and Bellarine Peninsula to enjoy Bali's beaches, culture, and hospitality.
To celebrate the expansion, Jetstar launched a 48-hour sale starting midday today. Domestic flights from Melbourne Avalon start at $29^, and fares to Bali begin at $199^.
