Kenneth Lam, a 57-year-old Hong Kong human rights lawyer, has been formally charged with three counts of indecent assault and one count of criminal intimidation.
According to the charge sheet, the alleged incidents took place at an apartment in Jordan’s Takshing Terrace between July 2 and July 9 of this year. Lam appeared at Kowloon City Court on Monday for his second hearing related to the case.
The court released Lam on bail set at HK$5,000 (approximately US$643). He is expected to enter a plea when the case moves to the District Court.
Lam, known for his work in personal injury claims, was previously recognized for his outspoken views on legal issues in Hong Kong.
