Toyota has unveiled the ninth-generation Hilux, introducing an all-electric powertrain for the first time. Alongside this new variant, the Hilux continues to be available with the reliable 2.8-litre diesel engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The latest model features a comprehensive redesign both inside and out, integrating advanced technology and a refreshed rugged style.
The new Hilux adopts a bold look inspired by the latest Toyota Land Cruiser SUV. Its front fascia showcases sleek LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights (DRLs) and a closed-off grille featuring large “TOYOTA” lettering at the center. The muscular bumper adds to its robust stance, highlighted with silver trims on the lower section and neatly fitted LED fog lamps.
At the rear, the pickup is equipped with vertically stacked C-shaped LED taillights and an all-black bumper. The flatbed gate prominently displays the “TOYOTA” badge, with high-stop brake lights positioned above the flatbed handle.
Toyota confirmed a hydrogen fuel-cell electric version of the Hilux is planned for release in 2028.
