Queen Elizabeth's School, Barnet, will open its first international branch in Dubai Sports City in August 2026. The new campus will bring more than 450 years of British academic tradition to the UAE, offering students the National Curriculum for England.
Queen Elizabeth’s School in Dubai will uphold the same rigorous standards that made its Barnet counterpart an “outstanding” and leading UK state grammar school. The project, developed in partnership with GEDU Global Education, recently got initial approval from Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
“This landmark approval allows us to accelerate our vision to deliver world-leading K-12 education to students from across the UAE,” said Caroline Pendleton-Nash, CEO of Queen Elizabeth’s Global Schools.
The Dubai branch will preserve the mission, ethos, tradition, and academic excellence of the original school while embracing Dubai’s innovative and ambitious spirit.
“In uniting the heritage of one of the UK’s most distinguished schools with the vision of Dubai, we aspire to set a new global benchmark for educational excellence,” Pendleton-Nash added.
The new campus will initially offer education from nursery through year 8 and plans to expand in phases to include a sixth form.
