Alternative F1 Commentary Available in Australia

For the first time outside of the home race, Australian fans can enjoy an alternative to the usual Sky Sports F1 commentary tonight. F1TV coverage will now be accessible in Australia, with Foxtel and Kayo streaming the event alongside Sky Sports F1, which has been the official world feed since 2012.

F1TV Commentary Team

The F1TV broadcast features Alex Jacques as the lead commentator. Known for his decade-long experience with F2 and F3 races, Jacques has gained popularity for his passionate calls, including Charles Leclerc’s 2024 Monaco Grand Prix win, widely appreciated by fans on the official Formula 1 YouTube channel.

Joining Jacques is former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer, who transitioned to commentary after leaving Renault in 2017. Palmer has developed his expertise as a pundit for BBC radio and F1TV.

Broadcast Schedule and Availability

The alternative F1TV commentary will begin at 3:55am AEDT, five minutes before the race start, and will continue for the rest of the season at Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi.

Meanwhile, the traditional Sky TV commentary by David Croft and Martin Brundle remains available.
