Many celebrities have achieved great success despite not having a high school diploma. Jeremy Allen White, star of The Bear, recently shared a touching story about an old teacher who surprised him at the New York City premiere of his film Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere.
“I wasn’t a good student because I didn’t go to school enough,” Jeremy said on the October 23 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, explaining he never graduated from the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City.
After the film screening, his teacher gave him a gift, which turned out to be his high school diploma. “At 34 years old, I graduated high school!” he exclaimed.
Nicole Kidman, who has won two Oscars, has expressed regret about leaving school early. Speaking on 60 Minutes, the 51-year-old actress said:
“I’m a high school dropout, which I’m not proud to say. I had some teachers that I still think of fondly and were amazing to me.”
By the age of 15, Nicole was focused on becoming an actress and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career.
These stories show that determination and talent can overcome the lack of formal education, proving that success is possible beyond traditional school paths.
