Early Thursday morning, a two-alarm fire broke out at the multi-million dollar Miami-area residence of Heat coach Erik Spoelstra. The blaze erupted shortly after the team returned from a four-game road trip.
The Heat and Spoelstra arrived on a chartered flight from Denver around 5 a.m. ET, about 25 minutes after firefighters were dispatched to the coach's home in Miami-Dade.
The property, situated on a 43,000-square-foot lot, was sold for $6.6 million in 2023. The five-bedroom house features a pool and tennis courts.
Though the firefighters fought the fire for over four hours, no injuries were reported.
Milena Malaver, Carl Juste, and David Neal of the Miami Herald reported on the incident.
"Good thing that Jake from State Farm is on the heat," was mentioned humorously in relation to the situation.
Author's summary: A major fire severely impacted Heat coach Spoelstra's luxurious Miami home, but fortunately, no one was injured during the extended firefighting effort.
