Harvard Football Reaches No. 9 in FCS Poll, Highest in Program History

Harvard football has displayed dominance this season, winning all seven games by at least three touchdowns. Their strong performance earned them the No. 9 spot in the latest Stats Perform FCS Top 25 rankings, the highest ever in program history.

The Crimson were also ranked 13th in the AFCA FCS Coaches’ Poll, marking their best position in that poll since at least 2011. This rise in the rankings followed a commanding 31-10 victory over Dartmouth on Saturday, improving Harvard’s record to an undefeated 7-0.

Currently, Harvard is the only unbeaten team in the Ivy League, while archrivals Yale and Penn both hold 5-2 records. Harvard has yet to face either rival this season; Penn is scheduled to visit on November 15, followed by the 141st edition of “The Game” against Yale in New Haven.

Another key factor in Harvard’s ranking is the Ivy League’s first eligibility for the FCS playoffs this season. The Crimson aim to extend their winning streak to eight games in an upcoming road match against Columbia on Friday night.
