Australian football star Brendan Fevola shared that he unexpectedly became the victim of a strange home intrusion over the weekend, which left him fearing for the safety of his family.
The father of four was preparing to take his youngest daughter, Tobi, rollerskating when the incident happened. As they were about to leave their home, he turned around and was shocked to find an elderly woman with her dog standing in their hallway.
“Oh my god, I’ve had an intruder,” said the former Carlton and Brisbane player on the Fifi, Fev and Nick show. “I turn around and see this old lady with a dog walking into our house and the dog just comes in and I go: ‘Hello?’”
Fevola admitted that at first, he feared the encounter might be a part of a planned break-in, especially as it happened during the Halloween weekend. His initial thought was that people might be using the situation to scope out his house for a potential robbery.
“I was like: ‘Is this person scoping my house out? Get old people to come in and see what you’ve got, then later on you get robbed.’ I thought, ‘Is this a set-up?’”
