Billy Bob Thornton, stars of ‘Landman’ walk red carpet for Fort Worth premiere

Billy Bob Thornton and 'Landman' Cast Premiere Season 2 in Fort Worth

Stars of Taylor Sheridan’s series Landman gathered at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth on November 6 for a special screening of the Season 2 opener. Although Academy Award-winning actor Billy Bob Thornton did not grow up in Fort Worth, he regards it as his favorite city in the U.S.

Thornton appreciates both Fort Worth’s vibrant Western culture and its role as the main filming location for his latest television project. He stated,

“For years and years, it was kind of the little sister to the big sister, and Fort Worth is really getting its due now.”

Joining Thornton at the event were fellow Landman cast members Sam Elliott, Paulina Chávez, Michelle Randolph, and James Jordan. Co-creator Taylor Sheridan was absent, but his wife, Nicole Muirbrook, attended on his behalf.

The premiere was hosted by the Fort Worth Film Commission alongside the Lone Star Film Festival, which concluded its screenings in November.
