As if you needed another reason to watch Avatar: Fire and Ash, the Avengers: Doomsday trailer will reportedly play in front of James Cameron's threequel

Fire and Doom: A Glimpse of Avengers: Doomsday

The first preview of Avengers: Doomsday is reportedly arriving earlier than expected. According to Collider, the trailer will appear before screenings of James Cameron’s upcoming film, Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Cameron’s third entry in the Avatar series introduces the Ash People of Pandora and premieres on December 19. This timing places the Doomsday trailer’s debut almost exactly one year ahead of the film’s official release on December 18, 2026.

By comparison, the Avengers: Infinity War trailer debuted six months before its release. Avengers: Endgame waited even longer, offering glimpses only five months before hitting theaters, with teasers revealing little beyond the opening scenes.

Whether the year-long campaign signals Marvel Studios’ growing confidence in the project remains uncertain. However, it is expected to spark major fan anticipation for a film that has largely stayed under wraps until now.

“We do know, however, that Robert Downey Jr. will return.”

Joining him will be members of the Fantastic Four, the Thunderbolts, several established MCU heroes, and classic X-Men characters. The ensemble was officially unveiled in March during a six-hour live stream.

Recently, Channing Tatum, who portrays Gambit, said Avengers: Doomsday could be “the biggest film of the decade.”
