Winter Weather Warning for Alberta's Mountain Regions

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a snowfall warning for Alberta’s Rockies, including Banff and the area near Lake Louise. Heavy, wet snow is expected to begin Friday evening and continue through Saturday night.

Snow Accumulation and Travel Advisory

Snowfall could reach between 10 to 15 centimetres over the next 24 hours. The weather report states:

“Travel will likely be challenging. Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.”

Travelers are advised to prepare accordingly, especially if planning a mountain trip this weekend.
