A Life of Service

Keeling began volunteering at the museum in 2011 and worked three mornings each week. Over the years, he catalogued more than 29,000 artifacts, supporting the museum’s recovery after major challenges.

Memories from a Colleague

“We went through a lot at the museum,” she said. “We had a fire in 2010 and a flood in 2013.”
“Brian was a fixture at the museum,” Kerr added.

Kerr noted that Keeling’s meticulous cataloguing work was essential after the disasters, as many artifacts and photographs had no backups. His dedication played a vital role in preserving the museum’s collection.
