The charts display areas in purple, white, and grey, forecasting up to 3cm of snow around November 19. Data from November 6 reveals a wintry shift expected along the south coast by mid-November, with snowfall accumulations likely to reach several centimetres.
Projections suggest snowfall could reach as much as 3cm per hour during this period.
"This week is forecast to start off mostly dry and settled and probably on the cold side, especially in the south, with some overnight frosts and fog patches."
"With pressure looking likely to remain quite high to the north-west of Britain, there is potential for one or two short lived northerly blasts, but again widespread snowfall looks unlikely."
The forecast covers the period from November 17 to November 23, indicating mainly cold and dry conditions with limited snowfall expected across much of the UK.
