Internationally acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer Joji has revealed details of his upcoming fourth studio album titled Piss In The Wind, which will be released on February 6, 2026, through Palace Creek. The album is now available for pre-order and pre-save in CD, LP, and cassette formats.
Along with the announcement, Joji introduced a new single from the record, "If It Only Gets Better," accompanied by a cinematic music video directed by James Mao.
“If It Only Gets Better” recalls Joji’s lo-fi roots, blending soft acoustic textures with syncopated bass and lush harmonies.
The video lightly references Joji’s earlier visual style from his BALLADS 1 era, contrasting dynamic, club-inspired imagery with introspective lyrics.
Piss In The Wind represents a balance between Joji’s earlier melancholic songwriting and his current experimental production approach, merging brooding emotional tones with atmospheric grit.
Earlier this month, Joji quietly shared another single, "Pixelated Kisses"—his first new release since 2022’s SMITHEREENS, the album that spawned the RIAA 2x Platinum hit "Glimpse of Us," which topped the Spotify Global 50 chart.
Upon release, "Pixelated Kisses" quickly amassed tens of millions of streams globally and debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, later appearing on the Billboard Top 200 and Pop charts.
This new project signifies a mature evolution of Joji’s artistry, expanding his emotional range while nodding to the sonic identity that first defined his career.
Joji’s upcoming album Piss In The Wind bridges his creative past and present, offering introspection, sonic depth, and a return to emotionally charged storytelling.
