Major roads will be shut from early morning until the afternoon, as over 300,000 people are expected to attend the event along the usual parade route. The Pageant begins at South Terrace and proceeds along King William Street, around the western edge of Tarntanyangga, through Reconciliation Plaza, Wakefield Street, Pulteney Street, North Terrace, and concludes at Beehive Corner.

“The Christmas Pageant brings huge numbers to the city each year so road closures will be in place tomorrow morning to keep everyone safe,” said Charles Mountain, RAA Senior Manager Safety and Infrastructure.
“On-street parking will be as rare as a white Christmas, so check for off-street options and allow plenty of extra time if you’re driving to the Pageant.”
